'Injustice 2' Trailer Confirms New Characters; Poison Ivy Status As New Character Still On Doubt [VIDEO]

Fans of the Upcoming fighting game "Injustice 2" have some big news this week. The new fighting game sequel is about to get some new characters. The newly released trailer reveal the whole story about the upcoming new characters.

According to IGN, which got the full story about the new characters, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. have released a new "Injustice 2" trailer which will be focusing on the game's female fighters.

In the game's trailer are Cheetah, Catwoman, and Black Canary, all will be playable characters in the upcoming fighting game. Additionally, the trailer also provides the first-ever look at Poison Ivy gameplay, but her status as a playable character had yet to be confirmed by the developer, according to GameSpot.

In other news, the game developer also announced the game's newest playable character, Swamp Thing. Other confirmed playable characters include Superman, Blue Beetle, Supergirl, The Flash, Batman, Harley Quinn, Wonder Woman, Gorilla, Deadshot, Robin, Atrocitus, Aquaman, and Grodd. NetherRealm also added that the game will feature obscure characters.

"Injustice 2" will be launching on PS4 and Xbox One this coming May 16. A mobile version, which similar to the previous version, is also being planned for release on iOS and Android devices.

Developed by NetherRealm Studios, "Injustice 2" is an upcoming fighting video game, the sequel to 2013's hit "Injustice: Gods Among Us." "Injustice 2, which continues the storyline established in the previous installment, will continue the storyline established previous installment "Injustice: God Among Us" and also retains numerous gameplay mechanics from the previous installment. These include environment interaction, stage transitions, clashes, and character traits.

In addition to the storyline, the developer will also introduce a new loot-dropping system called Gear System. According to the developer, the new system will be using RPG-like mechanics to reward players with loot after every match in the game.
