A certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance indicates that the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Edge Plus smartphones will get the Android 7.0 Nougat update very soon. It has been said that the Galaxy S6 Active could be next in line. Although the exact date of the Android 7.0 Nougat roll out is unknown, a user manual with details has been leaked for the Galaxy S6 range.

The Android 7.0 Nougat has been rolled out to Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge a few weeks ago, and now it's time for the Android update to launch to the 2015 flagship. A device with model number SM-G920V has been spotted online running on the Android 7.0 Nougat. Wherein, the model number refers to Verizon's Galaxy S6 unit.

The Android 7.0 Nougat user manual on the Galaxy S6 shows that the update is somewhat like the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The Android 7.0 Nougat update on the Galaxy S6 is said to bring a refurbished status bar, new camera interface and a Pop-up view mode, Amaziness reported.

Nonetheless, there are features from the Android 7.0 Nougat that the Galaxy S6 might not get, such as the Video Enhancer, Performance Mode, motion panorama feature, Camera modes as well as Always On Display. These features are exclusive for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge update.

That being the case, the Android Nougat update for the smartphones comes along with new features to devices, improve overall performance, as well as fixing bugs and issues. The Android Nougat update is said to bring a tweaked user interface along with space-efficient notifications and instant control toggles. The quick switch and multi-window for excellent multitasking also features in the Android Nougat update, according to TeleGiz.
