Google Pixel 2 Will Be Waterproof

One of the disadvantages spotted from Google Pixel phones is the lack of a waterproof feature is the selling point of its toughest rivals the iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy Note 7. According to Digital Trends, Google is planning to make the next Pixel device a waterproof with rates IP67 or IP68 which means the device is allowed to be submerged up to 1 to 1.15 meters for 30 minutes.   

Google Pixel 2 Will Use Google-Made Processors

In an interview with Bloomberg, the Vice President of Google Engineering Department revealed that the search giant is likely to come up with their own processor like Apple did for their iPhones. For this reason, the next-generation Pixel devices are likely to say farewell to Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets.

Google Pixel 2 Will Feature New Design

Pixel phone's physical appearance has also become one of its weaknesses and is considered by some reviews as dumb. But since HTC is rumored to have signed up another 3-year contract with Google, Google Pixel 2 looks will be patterned from HTC flagship smartphone the HTC Ultra, Pocket-lint reported.

Google Pixel 2 Software and Hardware

As expected, Google Pixel 2 will run the latest Android 7 Nougat version the Android O which will be launched during Google I/O 2017 in May. Enhanced Google Assistant and refined Daydream VR are also expected to land in the new Google Pixel phone.

Amidst the rumor on Google-made processor, other reports suggesting that Pixel 2 will be powered by Snapdragon 835 coupled with 4GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage and 3500 mAh battery pack. USB-C and fingerprint scanner integrated in the screen are also expected to be in the device.

Google Pixel 2 Release Date

Google is known for unveiling smartphones during the Fall Season of every year just like in the case of Nexus and Pixel Phones. For this reason, the company is presumed to release the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL this coming October.
