Game developer Hi-Rez Studios' "Paladins: Champions of the Realm" is getting a recent upgrade with its OB42 patch. It highlighted the biggest update that is Torvald, a new character and champion in the game. Hi-Rez made sure that the team-based multiplayer first person shooter video game will have the recent lures that would make fans love the game even more.

"Paladins: Champions of the Realm" has recently been bombarded with negative feedbacks about its gameplay by die-hard "Overwatch" fans. Reports claimed that fans seem to think that it is a ripoff of "Overwatch" from Blizzard, MMO Examiner reported.

Despite the hate, Hi-Rez continued to develop Paladins into a fine title that many are enjoying right now. The recent patch has fans loving it since it offers new person versus environment (PVE) gamemode that is available for casual queue. It can have five players take on enhanced enemy players. The patch also features Gold and Exp rewards with an assurance of weekly new modes with new enemies to face.

New hero Tovald who is a Front Line class packs impressive abilities that include Gauntlet, Recharge, Runic blast, Protection, and Hyper Beam. He is not the usual hero every gamer is used to seeing since he's an old man in a scholarly robe, with a giant rock fist, iDigital Times has learned. Although he is a little bit older he has a huge personality that players will surely like.

Sources added that Tovald's health starts off with 6000 and drains every time he gets attacked. His Recharge control enables him to generate his shield. He becomes immobile while his rock hand generates his shield. While using Recharge, Tovald just needs to look at an enemy shield so he can steal the shield and charges twice as fast.

It is reported that Hi-Rez is also currently working on rolling out a patch for console versions of the game as well. The popularity of the Paladins is undeniably getting bigger and console version of the game suggests that the team may be getting requests from console owners of the game's integration to the platform. As of press time, the team has not announced yet when will this patch be released.
