Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) Release Date, Specs News: Galaxy J7 Features Android 7.0 Nougat, Gets FCC Certification, Release Soon [VIDEO]

Another smartphone from Samsung is hinting a next launch ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S8 launch in April. With new leak renders mounting up online, the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) smartphone has been recently spotted on GeekBench.

The benchmarking site listed the Samsung J7 (2017) smartphone carrying a model number of SM-J727P, and runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. The Samsung J7 (2017) passed the single-core test with a mark of 889, while the device also scored a 4200 in the multi-core test, according to Softpedia News.

GeekBench indicated that the Samsung J7 2017 smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.21 GHz, coupled with a 2GB of RAM. Nonetheless, the Geekbench listing didn't include the details on the handset's design, internal storage and display.

In spite of that, earlier rumors claimed that the Samsung J7 2017 will sport a 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED resolution (1280X1080 pixels). The internal chassis of the device may include an Adreno graphics processing unit, which depends on the processor model. The smartphone will feature a 13MP rear camera, while the front camera will sport a 5MP front-snapper for conducting selfies and video calls.

In addition, the Samsung J7 2017 smartphone recently received the certification from the FCC. The FCC label goes under the rear panel of Samsung's upcoming smartphone. The label confirms the model number of Samsung J7 2017 smartphone is SM-J727VPP, Price Raja reported.

The certification reveals that the FCC ID of the Samsung J7 (2017) is A3LSM J727V. Since the upcoming smartphone has received FCC certification, the impending Samsung J7 2017 will undoubtedly be released in the U.S. sooner than later. The Samsung J7 2017 is expected to be made available at Verizon Wireless.

That being said, the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 may not come as the upgraded version of the Galaxy J7 (2016) due to its specs.
