Sony Xperia X 2017 Leaked Online

A recent image believed to be a press image, has shown up online. The alleged Sony Xperia X 2017 sports thinner bezel - and it looks almost edge-less with the slim dimension, as reported by Phone Arena. The product description reads New Xperia X with a hashtag #TheGreatest.

It can be argued that the upcoming Xperia handset might be getting the latest hardware and software that could make it a fast performer. There is no official word from the company but based on the image, the black color variant device looks sleek and elegant with Sony's signature square shape. If this will be the Xperia X 2017, the fans can expect impressive powerhouse given that such thin smartphone needs smaller chipset.

There will be two big occasions in which Sony might launch the new Xperia X 2017, the CES 2017 and MWC 2017. However, Android Community has noted that the purported device may be introduced in Las Vegas at CES instead.

Android Nougat 7.1.1 Update for Sony Xperia Handsets

Sony has started to release Xperia X Concept update and it comes with Android 7.1.1 - the latest version of Android OS. Along with the firmware update, the company rollouts December security patch. However, the OS is only available for those who have registered and installed Concept for Android awhile ago. That being the case, the more stable version is expected to be released in a matter of weeks.

In addition to the Android Nougat update, Xperia XZ and Xperia X Performance receive minor updates including bug fixes, GSM Arena has learned. The OTA update will be available soon and users can find the notification via a pop-up on the screen or by checking the firmware update availability directly in the Settings menu.
