By

A new rumor suggests that Xiaomi Mi 6 will be unveiled in Q1 2017. Find out the details!

Xiaomi Mi 6 rumored specifications

Xiaomi Mi 6 is said to pack more punch than Mi 5. A Snapdragon 835 - the chipset rumored to be used by Samsung for its Galaxy S8, has also been mentioned consistently as part of Xiaomi Mi 6 specs, GSM Arena reported.

Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to rock a huge 6 GB of RAM and Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The optics pair 16 MP and 4 MP cameras. It is reported that the device gets a lot of improvements. It will be able to record 4K video and faster multi-tasking with the beast hardware on board, according to GuidingTech.

Several other leaks of Mi 6 include its LED flash module for the rear camera and multiple Mi 6 models with different screen variants.

Previously, Xiaomi has been ambitiously flooding the market with its cutting-edge budget phones, starting with a concept phone Mi Mix and a fast-performer Redmi 4 earlier this year. The Chinese giant has also been rumored to unveil Xiaomi Mi S next year.

Xiaomi could introduce Mi 6 on Feb. 6, rumor suggests

Xiaomi, like Samsung and Apple, could be releasing its major flagship as soon as February, according to VR-Zone. Analyst Kevin Wang has stated that the Snapdragon 835 chipsets have been shipped and ready to be placed under Mi 6 hood. However, this report conflicts with GuidingTech that has stated Feb. 14 as its release date, based on a Weibo leak.

Regardless of the date, the timeframe seems to be plausible as Mobile World Congress 2017 will be held from February to March. While the unveiling might be scheduled in February, Mi 6 is expected to be available for purchase in March.
