Hollywood Director Guillermo del Toro Bashes Konami In Christmas Message; ‘Death Stranding’ Game Update [VIDEO]

Guillermo del Toro is probably best known for his work on cult films like the franchise of "Hellboy." Now, the director is currently working with the famous video game designer, Hideo Kojima, for the upcoming open world action game, "Death Stranding." Nevertheless, the holiday season had the prestigious director commenting on Kojima's former game company, Konami, and del Toro had to bash the company.

The message was posted by director del Toro on his Twitter account, wherein the director wrote a holiday message to his followers and at the end of the message the director stated F*** Konami. Then, del Toro followed the message up with a comment that stated, I meant ring, sorry- still, F*** 'em.

This is not the first time that director del Toro has spoken out his bad relationship with the video game company. Director del Toro was reportedly working with Kojima on an upcoming video game before Konami decided to terminate the project. Both Kojima and director del Toro have since moved on and are now collaborating on the upcoming open world action game with Kojima's independent studio, Kojima Productions, Game Spot reported.

As of now, there is still no assurance as to the director's level of involvement has in "Death Stranding." Nonetheless, the director was clearly used as one of the models in the video game's trailer that was unleashed during the recent The Game Awards. However, the newest project of director del Toro, the animated series "Trollhunters," is already out.

In spite of that, no official plot has been pitched in for the "Death Stranding game, but the American actor Norman Reedus is said to be the model of the game's central character and the Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen will play the main antagonist of "Death Stranding." Also, the upcoming open world action game "Death Stranding" still has no official release date.
