NetherRealm Studios has unveiled a new gameplay footage of "Injustice 2: Gods Among Us." The clip showcased Supergirl and the heroine's combo moves and skills.

In the newly released "Injustice 2" gameplay footage from IGN, Supergirl proved that she has what it takes when it comes to fighting enemies just like her cousin Superman/Kal-El. The Kryptonians' powers resemble each other's but whereas Superman's abilities are more focused on brute force, Supergirl's rely on agility and combo moves that can be hard to predict. Supergirl's Last Daughter of Krypton combo is among the heroine's most notable skills in "Injustice 2," but it requires a lengthier chain of hits. "Injustice 2" players who want to display Supergirl's raw power can just kick opponents in the gut and hurl them head-first using a power bomb. The latter can be used as it is or as a part of a bigger combo, according to Game Rant.

Supergirl's impressive speed and agility on "Injustice 2" allows the heroine to throw fast series of punches that can be combined with Crossroads of Time. However, Game Rant stressed that the heroine's at her best in long range fights, which allow her to use her Kryptonian abilities such as freezing breath, heat vision, and force tornadoes that boost combos' hits and multiply the damages inflicted to an opponent.

Supergirl's killer move is the Asteroid Shower. In this move, the heroine flies into outer space with her opponent and throws them back into Earth using her heat vision. What's special about this move is it punctures through an asteroid belt, disturbing the cosmic rocks enough that it rains down on the enemy hurtling downwards from above. The damage, as expected, is greater in this move.

Supergirl appears to be a "damage over time" character in "Injustice 2" and in order to defeat her, players must take advantage of that, according to WWG. The best method to win against Supergirl is by reducing her health from a safe distance, and then allow her to get close and hit her with quick and dirty combos, then stay far away from her again. The teleportation punch is one move that suits this trick, though Supergirl employs this move too and she is fast at it.

"Injustice 2" is expected to launch in 2017 but the platforms where it will roll out are still unconfirmed. However, there are reports that the game will be released in Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms.
