MCC Offers Variety of Noncredit Classes, Including Training Your Dog

By

If you're looking for a school that offers noncredit courses that would teach special skills such as pet training, ballroom dancing, and even exploring your iPhone to maximize its use, then a community college in Fremont is for you.

The Metropolitan Community College in Fremont is offering a variety of noncredit courses that teach a wide variety of subjects, ranging from Ballroom Dancing, to Basic Dog Obedience, to Exploring one's iPhone, the Fremont Tribune reported. These classes vary in lengths, but most of them will run from January to February.

"Ballroom Dance for Beginners" and "Advanced Ballroom: Swing" are offered for six weeks, running from Jan. 10 until Feb. 14. These classes are open for those who want to learn ballroom dancing or just want to brush up on their dusty dancing skills.

"Basic Dog Obedience" is for dog owners whose dogs are more than 16 weeks old. Dogs will practice recalls, leash manners, "sit" and "down" commands, and staying in a sit and down position with controlled distractions.

Explore your iPhone is a class that will assist participants in getting the most out of their iPhone. Although the class will teach various methods in making the best use of the device, no iPhone will be given away to students.
