Getting into college is not easy. It is a tedious and overwhelming process. A lot are being considered. Location needs to be weighed in, as well as the financial aspect. Aside from choosing the right major that will support the students' future, it is considered to be one of the biggest decisions in a teen's life.

Which is why Kate Beckinsale and ex Michael Sheen got super excited when their daughter Lily was accepted into college. Kate Beckinsale went on Instagram to display her glee, as reported by US Magazine.

In her post, Kate Beckinsale posted a picture of her former love, Michael sheen and daughter Lily. She captioned her post saying that Sheen's response was appropriate when they both found out their own daughter got into college. According to Beckinsale, Sheen dropped everything, burst into tears and rushed hurriedly to celebrate.

The "Underworld" actress is quite proud of her daughter and Michael Sheen could not contain his excitement either. There were multiple captured moments online but one that stood out was a picture of Michael Sheen scooping up his 17 year old daughter in his arms and at the same time grabbing Kate Beckinsale in a bear hug while she wraps her legs around him.

Both parents believe in their daughter so much that Beckinsale added to her post the words "Fly, fly, fly!"

Although Kate Beckinsale and Martin Sheen did not reveal the major, or which college or university Lily will go to, the two remain great parents amidst having different partners in life. The two celebrities dated from 1996 until 2003. They welcomed Lily Beckinsale to the world but separated soon after. However, they still keep in touch. Some even described them as the ultimate modern family, as reported by Pop Sugar.

Teasing her mom after posting various pictures of the family celebrating, online, Lily teased her parents. They are the reason she is not going to get into college, she said jokingly. Welcome to the world of higher education, Lily Beckinsale!
