BlackBerry has recently rolled out its security update that is said to do away from data breaches and Cybersecurity threats. However, this platform will not be available for all BlackBerry devices. Check the list of eligible devices and carriers here!

What to Expect from BlackBerry Security Update?

To provide a centralized security solution is the main purpose of the recently rolled out BlackBerry Security Update. According to Forbes, BlackBerry Secure is the biggest security offering of the Canadian manufacturing company to their clients both from business and government sector who desire to provide protection not just to their computer systems but to mobile devices as well.

BlackBerry Secure update will serve as a single umbrella to all BlackBerry security offerings such as BES12 recently called BlackBerry UEM, BlackBerry Workspaces (nee Watchdox) for services such as secure online-document sharing, BlackBerry Dynamics (nee Good Dynamics) for secured platform in App development and AtHoc. Where various organizations use to set-up alerts in mobile phones in case of emergencies. These various BlackBerry security offerings will not only be integrated under a single umbrella but also subject to improvements such as support for cross platform.

Devices Eligible for BlackBerry Security Update

BlackBerry Priv has reportedly started getting the security updates for the month of December. However, those handsets that are from the carrier AT&T will only be the one eligible to get the newest security update, according to Phone Arena.

On the other hand, for those clients who join the BlackBerry Beta Zone OS are also eligible for the security updates. For the meantime, BlackBerry is reportedly making an adjustment to make the security updates available for non-AT&T subscribers.

BlackBerry is known for building secure mobile devices as well as possessing strong technology for encryption for 15 years. Having said this, the latest BlackBerry Security update is expected to revive the sales of BlackBerry mobile devices in the coming days.
