Microsoft Surface Phone the New God Among Mobile Devices; Specs, Features, Price, and More [VIDEO]

By

After the Lumia 950, there were no longer reports on whether Microsoft will release a new phone model this year. There are reports of four various models of Surface Pro up for release this year, but no news of Surface Phone. So rumors have it that if ever there would be a smartphone release from the giant tech company, it would be dubbed Microsoft Surface Phone 2017.

Microsoft Surface Phone Review

Microsoft was expected to announce its Surface Phone last October, but they revealed various models of the Surface Book, which are the Surface Studio and the i7, Mac Rumors reported. According to rumors, the new phone will have an Intel chip for its processing. Others even expect that it will feature an i7 chip, because Intel recently inked a licensing deal with tech giant ARM.

Microsoft is more focused on its cloud-first or mobile-first products to avoid taking on the leaders in the smartphone markets like Apple. This shows that Microsoft is least likely to create a Surface Phone with the same focus. However, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said they are working on the ultimate mobile device, which concretize the notion that it will not compete in the smartphone market, Digital Trends reported.

New Device to Utilize Snapdraon 835 Sytem-on-chip (SoC)

That ultimate mobile device is rumored to sport the Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip (SoC), which is the latest from Qualcomm. That device will also feature the Windows 10 Mobile 64-bit version. It will also have the large-screen PC environment of Microsoft.

It will have the Continuum that can support legacy x86 applications. There are unconfirmed reports that the Surface Phone can be linked to external keyboard, display, and mouse, which is an advantage for business customers.

If the Surface Phone is on the works, it is most probably being tested in various configurations with 4GB and 6GB RAM and the Snapdragon 835.
