Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date, Specs: Samsung Adding More Innovations To Galaxy S8; All-Screen Design In Galaxy S8 [VIDEO]

By

Samsung may have a hard time enticing tech fans to purchase its upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8, considering the safety issues of Galaxy Note 7. Nonetheless, the South Korean tech giant is investing more testing and development time to make sure that the Galaxy S8 exceeds safety policies as Samsung adds more innovations to the smartphone.

The upcoming Galaxy S8 is expected to feature some interesting technological advancements that tech enthusiasts have yet to see in a smartphone. With the tech company being eager to recover from its Galaxy Note 7 failure, it appears that Samsung is willing to go all out for its new Galaxy S8 flagship smartphone.

Similar to Samsung's Edge lineup, the Galaxy S8 will feature a huge screen that extends to the side of the device. The Galaxy S8 is said to have an all-screen front with a display that will make the practical use of the latest organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology, according to Bloomberg.

The all-screen front of Samsung Galaxy S8 will be made possible if the smartphone's physical home button will be removed. Moreover, an enhanced digital assistant will be incorporated to Galaxy S8 that will be significantly different compared to the current software.

The South Korean tech company is also looking to use Snapdragon 835 chips as processors for Galaxy S8, although other devices will utilize the tech company's Exynos chips. The new processor will surely give the Galaxy S8 an edge over Apple's iPhone 8.

Furthermore, Samsung is said to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack for the Galaxy S8. Just like Apple's decision to remove the said feature, Samsung will instead incorporate the Galaxy S8 with a USB Type-C port, according to Sam Mobile.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is slated to roll out at the Mobile World Congress on Feb. 2017.
