When tech fans talk about Microsoft's Surface brand, the discussion quickly shifts to the tech company's Surface phone. Since the Surface brand has been giving Microsoft a good reputation, it is likely that the company will be launching another lineup in its name.

With the tablets of Microsoft are getting a lot of attention right now, specifically the company's Surface Book models and Surface Studio, it is possible for Microsoft to produce the same premium kind of device in a form of a smartphone. Nevertheless, Microsoft CEO Satya Naella confirmed that the production of the 2017 Microsoft Surface Phone, along with its partner Pegatron, is already underway, according to The Gamers Drop.

Tech critics are speculating that the release of the Microsoft Surface Phone will be a big blow to Apple Inc. and Samsung, since the Surface models of Microsoft have already made a name in just a short period of time. In fact, reports are mounting up the internet claiming that the 2017 Microsoft Surface Phone will replace Samsung's Galaxy Note series in terms of usability, Tom's Guide reported.

Microsoft Surface Phone could be the Galaxy Note replacement for the reason that Surface models always come along with the Surface Pen, which artists and professionals utilize the feature like a sketch pad or notepad. Moreover, some reports have also noted how the Redmond based tech giant made a lot of changes and additions in their Windows 10 anniversary update. The latest update comes along with the note and sketch-related apps, such as Sticky Pad, Sketchpad and Screen Sketch.

On the other hand, a patent image of how the Surface Phone 2017 will look like has been revealed. The patent image showed where the headphone-charger port and the Surface Pen are placed. Nonetheless, the Microsoft Surface Phone is speculated to roll out next year, Softpedia has learned.
