The metal unibody Redmi Note 3 is a 5.5-inch smartphone that's durable and elegant. The screen gets 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution with 401 ppi pixel density.

Redmi Note 3 runs Android Lollipop out of the box with MIUI 8 interface. The phone comes with two editions, Standard (16 GB/2GB RAM) and Special (32GB/3GB RAM).

A 16 MP sensor for the rear camera packs dual-tone LED flash and phase detection autofocus whilst the 5 MP selfie shooter packs beautifying mode. Redmi Note 3 is equipped with 4,050 mAh battery capacity with fast-charging feature.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pros and Cons

A metal chassis, a fingerprint scanner and affordable price are three among many other factors that make a buying decision. If only Redmi Note 3 packs Gorilla Glass and IP68 certification - it would be a great buy as an alternative to high-end flagships.

Redmi Note 3 battery is non-removable so it will solely rely on the charger, Foneforest has learned. The phone does not support NFC and there is no flash for the selfie shooter.

Asus Zenfone 3 Specs Review

Zenfone 3 has been one of the most popular devices in 2016. It packs the same screen size as Redmi Note 3 with slightly lower pixel density (401 ppi) but still, the display is excellent. According to GSM Arena, it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass and runs Android Marshmallow with ZenUI 3.0 custom skin.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 625 chip and the internal storage is available in two variants: 32 GB/3 GB RAM and 64 GB/4 GB RAM. The optics department offer better camera performance and quality with its 16 MP rear snapper packing OIS 4-Axis, laser autofocus, and dual-LED flash. The selfie shooter sports 8 MP sensor and the overall specifications make Zenfone 3 an excellent camera phone. Zenfone 3 packs 3,000 mAh battery capacity.

Zenfone 3 lacks of water-resistant feature and LED flash for the front camera. The battery is also non-removable.

Redmi Note 3 has similar pros and cons compared to Zenfone 3 but the latter is specced better than the Xiaomi's device in optics, display and hardware departments.
