Android-powered Nokia D1C To Arrive In Two Hardware Versions, Hardware Spec Leaked

Nokia's big comeback has been leaking everywhere. The Finnish handset maker is expected to make a comeback in the smartphone arena this year. This has already been confirmed by multiple sources, including the Finnish company itself.

Ever since the handset maker confirmed its presence in the upcoming 2017 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February next year, there has been a massive surge in rumors over Nokia's rumored Android-powered phone. The latest rumors indicate that the rumored Android device, the codename of which is D1C, might come in two models. The first one with a 5.0-inch screen and the second one has a 5.5-inch screen.

Based on the recent post by Nokia Power Users, the smaller 5.0-inch Nokia device is said to feature an Android 7.0 Nougat OS, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core CPU with Adreno 505 graphics engine, a full HD (1920x1080p) display, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, 13 megapixel primary camera on the back and an 8 megapixel front-facing shooter.

On the other hand, the bigger 5.5-inch Nokia device will have almost the same hardware specs, but differs in few areas. One big difference is that the bigger 5.5-inch Nokia model will have a superior 16-megapixel camera and a much bigger battery capacity.

Both Nokia models are said to be in prototype testing stage and there some chance that Nokia might alter the specification of the hardware before finalizing the product.

In addition to the smartphones, Nokia is also working on tablets and it might make its debut along with the Nokia D1C at Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona.

No words about pricing have been announced yet, not even specific release time frame. The company could make the official announcement at MWC 2017 next year, or it may hold a special press conference of its own at some other time for the product introduction.
