Flagship phones 2016 will feature four top contenders, namely the OnePlus 3T, HTC Bolt, Samsung Galaxy S7, and the iPhone 7. In this review, several factors are looked into, pitting camera, processor, and cost of the four smartphones.

In choosing the best flagship phone, the end user's consideration is the final clincher. Some users may go for optimal performance while others prefer to look into the camera and resolution.

Which smartphone has the best camera?

Flagship phones 2016 looks into the impressive cameras of all four contenders, but some perform slightly better. The Samsung Galaxy S7 has an edge, known to have the best camera among all smartphones.

The Galaxy S7 features 12MP (f/1.7) and has phase detection autofocus, OIS, LED flash and Auto HDR. The iPhone 7 also has a much improved camera than its predecessor, but it still needs to do modifications to be at par with Samsung's. It features 12 MP (f/1.8), also supports phase detection autofocus, OIS, quad-LED flash, and HDR.

Trailing closely when it comes to camera upgrades are OnePlus 3T and HTC Bolt, whose cameras also display clear and bright pictures, but not as well as the top 2 contenders on the list.

Which smartphone has the most powerful processor and hardware?

The iPhone 7 has the newest Apple A10 Fusion, which many benchmarking sites consider the top ruler when it comes to chipsets as reported by mobipicker. Expect the iPhone 7 to provide maximum performance with 4GB RAM, 32/128/256GB that is not expandable, a typical Apple trademark.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is not far behind, known also for its powerful hardware and powered by Snapdragon 820 or the Exynos 8890 depending on the model. It is the best phone to play games with no glitches. It has a 4GB RAM, 32/64GB storage that is expandable via microSD card.

The OnePlus 3T is powered by Snapdragon 810 with 1080 display, 6GB Ram and 64/128GB, expandable memory via a microSD card. The HTC Bolt is powered by Snapdragon 810, which may not run the latest mobile game in stable 60fps.

However, the HTC Bolt will be able to speedily process 90 percent of all tasks without glitches. It has a 3GB RAM and 32GB storage capacity, expandable via microSD card.

Which smartphone is worth the cost?

When it comes to value for money, the OnePlus 3T for the 64GB variant at $439 dollars is a wise choice for those looking for the best specs at a reasonable price as reported by slash gear. HTC Bolt is the most expensive with its slightly inferior specs, but at $560 dollars for its 32GB model.

Flagship phone 2016 pits Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 7 32GB model, both at $670 dollars as the popular choices. Though more expensive, both phone has impressive specs.
