'Street Fighter V,' 'Overwatch' Crossover Mod Means That Gamers Can Now Play As Sombra Or Laura?

By

"Overwatch" and "Street Fighter V" are different games, each with a separate cast of characters and unique gameplay. However, this has not stopped the creative mind of Youtube TheJamk from creating something new, placing Overwatch's new hero Sombra into Street Fighter V's Laura.

Following Tracer and Mei, Sombra is the latest "Overwatch" character to be modded into the fighting game "Street Fighter V," as reported earlier by PC Gamer. The mod looks pretty great in practice and almost perfectly fit.

TheJamk's mod puts Overwatch's hero Sombra in place of another "Street Fighter V" hero Laura, GameSpot reported. Besides Tracer and Mei, other examples of TheJamk's works include Karin as D.Va. and Birdie as Roadhog.

Released in February 2016, "Street Fighter V" is a fighting video game developed by Capcom and Dimps for PC, Linux, and PS4 consoles. The game is the sixth main entry in the Street Fighter game series.

"Street Fighter V" features 16 characters at launch, in which four of them are a new addition to the Street Fighter franchise. The fighting game carries on the side-scrolling fighting gameplay of the previous Street Fighter builds, in which two fighters use its unique abilities and movements to knock out their opponent.

Both game publishers have been in the gaming headlines recently, with Blizzard working on an unannounced first-person video game project. Overwatch is also set to introduce a Christmas-themed event next month. Meanwhile, "Street Fighter V" publisher and developer Capcom has announced that it will support Street Fighter V until 2020 or beyond.

"Street Fighter V" is currently available on Microsoft Windows and PS4 gaming consoles, with a planned Linux version set to be released. This action-packed game also features cross-platform play between two different gaming platforms, Microsoft Windows and Sony PlayStation 4.
