It couldn't be a better time for fans and avid gamers of the highly-acclaimed video game, "Star Wars Battlefront." EA Dice has recently unveiled details regarding the "Rogue One" downloadable content (DLC) that is less than a month away from being released. Moreover, it seems that fans will be rewarded as the game's developer celebrates the one-year anniversary of the game, according to sources.

It was recently reported that Electronic Arts have released details regarding the last downloadable content that will be made available to fans of the action shooter video game, "Star Wars Battlefront," Slash Gear  has learned.

It was stated that the "Rogue One: Scarif" DLC will feature four new maps, including that of Scarif which was inspired from the upcoming movie "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." Moreover, the DLC could also include an AT-ACT, new playable characters (such as Orson Krennic and Jyn Erso), some new multi-stage modes involving both ground and space engagements.

In addition, it was also mentioned in the game's official website that fans can also expect the "Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission" for the PlayStation VR along with the "Rogue One: Scarif" DLC's release. This free virtual reality add-on to "Star Wars Battlefront" will let players take control of their very own X-wing.

Moreover, it was also announced by EA Dice that they are giving away quadruple experience points this weekend in celebration of the success of "Star Wars Battlefront" and its one-year anniversary. It was said that it is a rare occasion for a game's developer to create events that would reward users with four times the experience points, which would throttle the leveling experience of fans in the game.

With all these said, it seems that fans of the critically-acclaimed "Star Wars Battlefront" have a lot to look forward to as both the "Rogue OneL Scarif" DLC and the "Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission" are slated for a Dec. 6 release date
