OnePlus 3 Sales Halted, Reasons Revealed; OnePlus 3T Launches UK,US Very Soon

By

OnePlus 3 has reportedly been selling off and then halting sales in several places worldwide. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer released the handset's successor four months after the handset hit the stores. While the sales may have been halted, software updates on the device will still be delivered.

The OnePlus 3 featured Dash Charge, Smart Capture and a Snapdragon 820 all on a 5.5 inch 6GB handset. While the standard turnover of newer models is about 12 months, OnePlus opted to roll out the device in less than 6 months. The OnePlus 3T notably moved up a notch to a Snapdragon 821 and 3,400mAh battery instead of the 3,000mAh on its predecessor, Slashgear reported.

Moreover, the OnePlus 3T is said to feature quicker charging than the OnePlus 3 and even more than the Google Pixel. In addition, the 3T is also expected to run Android 7.0 Nougat. Apparently, OnePlus had to let go of the OnePlus 3 since both handsets have slightly similar features except the 3T got a boost.

On the other hand, as far as software is concerned, the OnePlus 3 will reportedly still be getting the updates. OnePlus reportedly noted that both of the handsets will be receiving the same updates. However, the OnePlus 3T will reportedly be getting the updates before the original handset.

In other news, the OnePlus 3T is preparing to be launched in Europe and in the US. The 3T is set to replace the OnePlus 3 in the American and European market as well. On that note, OnePlus has recently revealed its intention to discontinue sales of the handset in the regions, The Next Web reported.

OnePlus 3 is said to be the cheaper handset of the two priced at $399 but now the market has been narrowed to a single option between the two. The handset may no longer be restocked and the refreshed 3T would be supplied in the regions. The device will boost an improved front-facing camera, upgraded processor, 128GB storage option and a $439 price tag. Watch News that OnePlus 3 Halted Sales in Europe and Hong Kong here:
