iPad Mini 5 Release Date, Specs: Device To Be Available Early 2017 In Three Variants Or Even More [VIDEO]

By

Although Apple Inc. has neither confirmed nor declined rumors suggesting that the tech company is currently working on a follow-up for its iPad Mini 4, rumor mills have claimed that the purported iPad Mini 5 is most likely to be unveiled in March 2017.

The iPad Mini 5 is expected to fire up the market early next year, along with the new iPad Pro 2 lineup. The iPad Mini 5 is likely to roll out as an entry-level as well as the smallest model in the iPad Pro 2 lineup.

If rumors came to fruition, the imminent iPad Pro series will be available in three variants or even more. In addition to the 12.9-inch model and the anticipated 9.7-inch version, the Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to add a 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2, PC Advisor reported.

Anyway, in terms of features, the upcoming iPad Mini 5 is likely to be a smaller variant of the current iPad Pro. This could strongly suggest that the tech company rolls out iPad Mini 5 to be a single level down from the iPad Pro 2.

In spite of that, the iPad Mini 5 is expected to come along with an A9 chipset and at least a 3 gigabyte of RAM. The base version of the iPad Mini 5 will probably include a 32 gigabyte of storage, getting rid of the 16GB version popularized by the iPad Mini 4. The current Apple tablet is up for grabs at a 128GB storage version, which implies the iPad Mini 5 will be available in 64 and 128GB of storage options.

The upcoming iPad Mini 5 is likely to sport a thinner design as compared to its predecessor with 7000 series aluminum that resembles the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, according to Mac World.

That being the case, considering that the Cupertino-based tech monster would like to add an entry-level variant for the lineup, a number of reports claim that Apple Inc. will unleash the iPad Air 3 in addition to the forthcoming iPad Mini.
