Google Pixel XL and HTC 10 are the two 2016 flagship smartphones that have similar specs and features but run on different mobile operating systems. Android 7.1 Nougat in Google Pixel is expected to be exceptional, but in a head-to-head battle, it appears that Android 6.0 Marshmallow in HTC 10 is better.

Google Pixel XL vs HTC 10: Performance

The two flagships are both powered by 64-bit Snapdragon processor - 820 version for HTC 10 and 821 for Google Pixel XL - but use the same graphic chipsets, which was the Adreno 530. Both smartphones have 4GB of RAM and 32GB expandable internal storage as well as Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, USB-C port for data transfer and charging, Android Headlines reported.

In addition, both devices have non-removable battery that is capable of fast-charging, equipped with fingerprint sensor and access to mobile payments. From the mentioned specs, it appears that Google Pixel XL running in Android 7.1 Nougat is faster than HTC 10 that runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Google Pixel XL vs HTC 10: Physical Design & Display

HTC 10 is built with a full-metal body integrated with bold design and considered as the best-looking HTC smartphone compared to its predecessors, while Google Pixel is built with metal and half glass, in which according to reviews, a bland look.

When it comes to display, Google Pixel XL seems to have an advantage because it sports a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display that has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, while HTC 10 features a 5.2-inch QHD Super LCD5 display, having the same resolution with Pixel XL but with solid pixel density at 565 PPI.

For the camera specs, HTC 10 features an exceptional camera with 12-Ultrapixel compared to 12.3MP of Google Pixel XL. But when it comes to the rear camera, Google Pixel XL has 8MP, which is higher than HTC 10's 5MP lense, according to NDTV.

Google Pixel XL is designed to be the high-end Android-operated smartphone that costs as much as an iPhone 7, while HTC 10, though considered as HTC's best smartphone ever, is reported to be cheaper than Pixel XL.
