Apple Watch Series 1 and 2 Battery Improvements Following watchOS 3.1 Update [VIDEO]

By

About a week ago, Apple Inc. unleashed watchOS 3.1 update, wherein the update brings in various bug fixes and performance improvements to the watchOS 3 version update. Just a couple of days after the update was released, users of Apple Watch Series 1 and Series 2 have discovered that they have vastly improved battery life on their gadgets.

In a thread, a forum member tromboneaholic posted that after updating to watchOS 3.1, their Series 1 Apple Watch now has a great battery life. Series 1 and Series 2 Apple Watch owners also corroborated the battery life improvement in watchOS 3.1, with one forum member claiming that they don't have to worry about charging their wearables every night, according to Mac Rumors.

Some users are also claiming that their Apple Watch even lasted the entire weekend with the new watchOS 3.1 update. One Apple Watch user specifically made it known that the device lasted from 5 a.m. Friday until 7 p.m. Sunday on just a single charge.

In spite of that, while most Apple Watch owners are impressed with the battery life boost, some users of the original Apple Watch are claiming that the watchOS 3.1 update has actually made battery life worse. But, it has been noted that these Apple Watch users are in the minority, Phone Arena has learned.

Also, some original Apple Watch owners, known online as Series 0, seems to haven't receive the same battery improvement. A forum member pointed out that their Series 0 has actually got a little worse on the watchOS 3.1 update.

Anyway, with the watchOS 3.1 update, Apple Watch users will be able to replay full-screen effects in the Messages. The update should also patch up any issues that Apple Watch Series 2 models may have had that prevented some from charging fully. In addition, unlike watchOS 3, the watchOS 3.1 update won't drastically change how a user interact with their Apple Watch.
