Since Android 7.0 is officially released and available, One Plus 3 users are also inquiring when will their flagship killer receive a software update for Nougat. One Plus 3 has already received numerous updates since its releae in June. However, the lates version of OxygenOS that is currently available is still running at Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

As justified by its numerous updates that were so far released, and the introduction of a community build, One Plus can indeed be committed for giving improvements to its flagship devices. Therefore, it may not be a surprise anymore if One Plus is currently working on having Nougat to One PLus 3.

However, One Plus has not yet revealed any further details regarding Android 7.0 Nougat update. It just say that it cannot yet give a timeline as of the moment. That leads fans to believe that maybe the update is still under development or is still on the works.

Typically in the Android world, customers want to get updates as soon as possible. However, for such devices, this might not be usually the case since it takes a long time between the release of a new Android device and its development of software updates, according to the Android Soul

One Plus 2 was launched about a year ago with an Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. This was just before Google released Android 6. However, it was not until early June that it has received software updates for Marshmallow. One Plus X, which has been shortly launches after One Plus 2, have already a Marshmallow OS as of this time.

The company has a long history of giving its customers major updates. This idea alone suggests that it will take abot a long time until One Plus 3 users can experience the Nougat OS. However, One Plus gives the assurance that it has a commitment in providing an improvement into its OxygenOS, thus updates may be here soon, Beta News reported.
