The cast and crew of the hit series "Bones" will return for its last and final season. Because it is going to be the last season, Emily Deschanel is going to sit on the director's chair for the premiere episode of "Bones" Season 12.

The actress revealed that she is already prepping for the job. During Comic-Con 2016 panel interview, Deschanel said that David Boreanaz is actually helping her since the latter directed the last episode for Season 11. It is said that it's a must that they work together because the premiere episode for "Bones" Season 12 is going to be the continuation of the last episode from the previous season.

There are many exciting things happening in "Bones" Season 12. First, "Camastoo" is going strong and the two will finally tie the knot. Writers for the show also revealed that Booth (Boreanaz) and Brennan (Deschanel) is going "undercover" again and is going to be the best one yet.

But probably the most interesting storyline is that of Zack Addy. It was confirmed that he's going to be back in "Bones" Season 12." In an interview with TV Line, Eric Millegan said that he really has no idea what's going to happen to his character. He said that Deschanel just sent him a text that says "you've got some great stuff."

When the actor was asked if there's a chance that his character, Zack Addy, can really do what the Puppeteer did, he said that he's hoping his character will not go there. Millegan also revealed that other characters in the series are also rooting for him to be the hero and not the killer. Still, he said that he's willing to do what's required of him as an actor.

"Bones" Season 12 is slated to air on 2017.
