Apple rumor: iPad Pro 2 to arrive in two models?

Hi-tech crowd is going to be amazed by the new iPad Pro if rumors are to be true. The great analyst Ming Chi-Kuo has stated in his report, "We expect three new iPads (12.9" iPad Pro 2, new size 10.5" iPad Pro & low-cost 9.7" iPad) to be launched in 2017", as reported by MacRumors.

Analyzing his comment, Kuo makes no mention about iPad Mini 5 but classifying all of the three variants as the new iPads. This could mean that the low-cost iteration that comes in 9.7 inch size could have another name or could it be the iPad Mini new size? And that leaves us two iPad Pros which he clearly mentions: 12.9-inch and 10.5-inch tablets - built with the same chip.

Apple rumor: iPad Pro 2 possible specifications

Kuo goes on to say that the new iPad lineup will get A10X chip but the 9.7-inch iPad will get A9X instead. Thus, it is unlikely that iPad Pro 2 will come in three variants but one model gets a different processor.

The Apple Pencil is said to be more advanced as Apple integrates the feature in many applications across the OS instead of in limited developed apps like the current model has to offer, Bloomberg reported. This would make it similar to the stylus in Samsung Galaxy Note series.

Kuo's analysis that states about the A10X chip could be true as internal sources who spoke to Bloomberg has also mentioned about smoother navigation to scroll, pan and zoom. This means a new and faster technology is used and it could be coupled with bigger storage base as well.

Apple rumor: iPad Pro 2 to get 2017 release date?

In July, University Herald reported about the A10X chipset that will go under the hood of the new iPad Pro. It is based on a report of interview with Taiwan's semiconductor who hints at the tablet release in 2017.

Furthermore, Motley Fool has also mentioned about iPad Pro 2 specs and claimed that 10 nanometer chip production stage will begin at the end of 2016. The rumors corroborate what recent reports have to say about iPad Pro 2 released in 2017.
