The speculation stems from recently surfaced reports that suggest Apple is gearing up for another launch event.

It can be recalled that Apple rolled out a few enhancements for the current iMac during the same time last year. The same thing is expected to happen with the purported AIO desktop, Ecumenical News reported.

iMac 2016 Specs & Features

Previous reports indicated that the impending iMac could pack the latest version of processors from acclaimed chipmaker Intel, dubbed the Kaby Lake, coupled with (no prizes for guessing), the macOS Sierra.

In addition, the rumored device is expected to boast an array of awe-inspiring features like an AMD (Advanced Micro Device) graphics processing unit, along with a 4K and 5K support which previously came with its precursor's 21 as well as 27-inch iterations. But that's not all, rumors are rife that the AIO from Apple will offer support for VR (virtual reality) features, according to VineReports.
