PlayStation 4 Slim Controller New Details Emerged, PlayStation 4 Slim To Be Released In September?

By

The news about the PlayStation 4 Slim surfaced the internet over a week ago, since then, plenty of evidence has emerged to corroborate the existence of the device. Now, some specifics about the elegant console's controller appeared.

Despite Sony's silence, people will know everything about the PS4 Slim until the tech company's PlayStation Meeting on September 7. But, it did not stop those who already own the console from pitching in leak details, which includes how the new DualShock 4 controller works and what new features the gadget offers, according to Game Rant.

The new and improved DualShock 4 thrusted out a thin strip of colored light across the top of the touchpad, in which the device is directly facing the gamer. With that, it completely removed the need to angle the controller in such a way that would allow players to spot the light bar between the triggers of the PlayStation 4 Slim's controller, Let's Play Video Games reported.

As the current PlayStation 4 controllers are limited to wireless data transmission, and this change allows for a more precise reaction time. The DualShock 4 is also packed in with the slimmed-down PS4, which it enables to transfer data over a wired connection, based on the report of Twinfinite.

The new PlayStation 4 Slim controller also has an updated D-pad (short for directional pad), with a slope toward its center that allows gamers to rest their thumbs.

However, since the USB connection is considered direct, which means that the latency will be minimal. The new PlayStation 4 Slim controller USB connection offers lesser latency compared to a Bluetooth wireless connection, in such a way players will be able to force USB use, thus it reduces their latency.

Anyway, the latest news about the new PlayStation 4 Slim controller seemed to spoil some of Sony's surprises. But, everything will be unveiled for sure at Sony's press event on September 7.
