Brock Lesnar Vs. Randy Orton At SummerSlam 2016 May Still Be In The Offing Despite The Beast's Failed UFC Drug Test; Here's Why!

By

Looks like the highly-anticipated Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton match at WWE SummerSlam 2016 may be called off citing The Beast's failed drug test during his one-off professional MMA return at UFC 200 on July 9.

Just last week, it was reported that Lesnar failed a second drug test administered during the fight night. This would be the second test the former UFC heavyweight champion failed, the first one was an out-of-competition test conducted on June 28, almost a week prior to UFC 200.

It's no secret that Lesnar has very few supporters and more adversaries, who left no stone unturned while reacting to his second failed test.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon "Bones" Jones - who was removed from the card in the wake of a failed drug test - totally distanced himself from Lesnar, stating they are not even on the same boat, Chatt Sports Net reported.

His opponent, Mark Hunt was extremely upset about the matter, noting how he does not trust Lesnar's claim that the positive test was in fact from some sort of "asthma medication."

In the wake of been overshadowed by the failed drug test, wrestling fans and the WWE Universe are speculating as to whether "The Beast Incarnate" would step inside the squared ring to go toe-to-toe with Randy Orton at the upcoming SummerSlam 2016.

WWE fans, rejoice! The verdict is out. Brock Lesnar is back in the SummerSlam event.

Lesnar will not be penalized for using PEDs and will indeed make an appearance at the upcoming PPV (pay-per-view) in August. Lesnar is not a full-time WWE performer, and apparently only full-time performers are culpable under the company's policies restricting performance enhancing drugs, a WWE spokesperson told TMZ.

WWE's talent wellness program only applies to full-time performers so Brock may have just got away with this simply because he is not a full time employee. Brock has only stepped inside the squared ring 19 times over the past three years, while an average full-time WWE wrestler may make an appearance in more than 200 matches every year.

The World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. has been promoting the Brock Lesnar Vs. Randy Orton match slated to take place on Sunday, August 21 at SummerSlam 2016.

Surprisingly, "The Beast" and "The Apex Predator" have not squared off against each other despite being seasonal main eventers who even trained shoulder-to-shoulder during their developmental stage at Ohio Valley Wrestling.

Lesnar and Orton have competed against each other only once before in the squared ring back in September 2002, when both were still WWE novice. Lesnar emerged victorious that night and it remains to be seen if that will be the outcome of the much-awaited Brock Lesnar Vs. Randy Orton showdown at SummerSlam 2016 as well.
