Recently, ZTE made an official announcement for its ZMax series. The ZMax Pro for MetroPCS has 6 inch screen and 1080 p display. Under the hood, the smartphone is enhanced with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The spacious RAM of 2GB is paired with internal storage of 32 GB (expandable using MicroSD).

Other features include USB Type C port and fingerprint scanner. These two features are surprising enough since most smartphones or phablets that have both, can be costly.

As for the camera, ZTE ZMax Pro comes with 13 MP lens for its rear camera and 5 MP for selfie camera. ZTE is smart enough to power the phablet with non-removable 3,400 mAh battery given the impressive specs might need more energy to run.

The downside of ZTE ZMax Pro

Although The ZTE ZMax Pro MetroPCS is packed with impressive specs, the phablet does have downsides. For instance, it does not include Android Pay and NFC.

What's best of all is that the phablet comes with price tag of $99. With such large screen display and great specs, ZTE could sell ZMax Pro triple the price.

The phablet for MetroPCS can be pre-ordered starting from July 18 and the market release will be on August 1, The Verge reported.
