Facebook Newsfeed Changes: Reach, Referral Traffic Depend On Sharing Habits; Closer Family Ties Best For Now

By

Facebook officially rolled out a new news feed platform for the users. However, numerous Facebook users made negative impressions about the changes.

When Facebook changed things up in the past week, reportedly, it was not warmly accepted when presented to a number of users, New Yorker reported.

Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook, along with his staff of workers, however, are unlikely to change their minds in reverting the news feed back to its previous platform regardless of how many complaints come forth.

The Facebook news feed tweak reduces page exposure to favor more updates and information from family and friends. With the recent changes, it will now filter posts from businesses and celebrity pages. While thousands shared that it may cause reach and referral traffic to decline for some pages, Facebook defended the changes by saying that everything will still depend on the sharing habits of the audience.

Facebook have recently recommended the page managers to continue posting information that are likely to be shared by their followers. According to the social networking site, this is the best way of keeping an organic reach going to their pages and help keep their pages showing up in personal news feeds on Facebook.

Some Facebook users were concerned about this change as they enjoy seeing celebrity posts and business offerings, as well as what media reports each day. While this may change the way things look for users on a daily basis, there are still ways of seeing all the posts and pages they like but they may have to work at it, Fool reported.

Facebook newsfeed change did not receive overwhelming positive feedbacks, Facebook is reportedly trying to make things easier for its users by promoting close family ties. Facebook news feed changes, according to the management, is the best for now.
