NBA Finals 2016: Cavaliers Beat Warriors; LeBron James Awarded MVP

Cleveland Cavaliers defeated Golden States Warriors in the Game 7 of NBA finals. LeBron James was awarded Most Valuable Player.

Beating the record, Cleveland Cavaliers is the first NBA team to win the championship with initial standing of 3-1 in the game series. They are third team to attempt a comeback and the only one to be successful. This is the biggest comeback ever recorded in NBA history. The game 7 ended with 93-89 in favor of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

With 10 seconds remaining, LeBron James was fouled while attempting a dunk and falls on his wrists. James shoots one of two free-throw shots putting the score at 89-93. The next three-point shot attempt of GSW missed.

LeBron James got his third NBA title in this season's NBA championship after his 2012 and 2013 MVP titles. James earned 41 points during the Finals' game 6 together with 11 assists and 8 rebounds. In game 7, LeBron James got a triple-double scoring 27 points with 11 rebounds and 11 assists.

During the interview after the game 6 of this NBA Finals' game series, LeBron James made no comment about the speculations of him being crowned MV regardless of the results of the game 7.

After the game, LeBron James was asked what made this season's MVP award different from the other MVP titles that he received before, he simply said, "I'm home."

Cleveland Cavaliers also tweeted that they wouldn't want their 100th playoff victory go down any other way. In addition, they said that LeBron James' MVP award was a unanimous decision. 

Golden State Warriors won the Game1, Game 2 and Game 4 of the NBA Finals series while the Cavaliers won the Game 3 at 120-90. The Game 5 resulted in 112- 97 with Cavs gaining their second win. The Game 6, which was a very important game, Cavaliers won while Golden State Warrior's star player, Stephen Curry was fouled out.
