Microsoft is not abandoning the smartphone fight. This is confirmed by Softpedia through a leaked photo posted in a Chinese website Baidu. The leaked photo evidences feature the alleged official design of the Surface Phone.

In the recent past, Microsoft has been vocal about on a new flagship smartphone the company is working on. However the company maintained the phone's authenticity private. However, a reviewer from Forbes claimed that the leaked images of the Surface Phone features seeming similarities with the previous Surface device designs which already out in the market, HQ Grande Prairie reported.

Specs

The upcoming Surface Phone will potentially be equipped with a 5.7-inch up to 5.8-inch display which can support 2K screen resolution. There will also an integration of the next-gen Snapdragon 830 processor, 3,000mAh battery capacity and 20MP Carl Zeiss lens, News Independent reported.

It will also be released in three variants:

  • 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB built-in storage (Basic Surface Phone)
  • 6GB RAM coupled with 128 on-board storage (AdvancedSurface Phone)

Pricing

Surface Phone is possible to carry a tag price between $700 and $1,200 which may vary depending on the variant.

Meanwhile, Microsoft assured that the company liable for releasing Surface Book and Surface Pro series will be highly focused and attentive on creating a superior Surface Phone. This affirms the previous reports and current rumors and speculations about the leaked smartphone photos.
