G7 Summit Japan Priorities: Summit to Discuss Global Economic; Climate Change; North Korea Nuclear

G7 summit Japan, Group of Seven formal meeting, begins today and the seven leaders of the world will have meeting in Ise-Shima, Japan. Canada, Britain, Italy, Japan, Germany and the United States will have a broad range of topics to discuss about; from economic to environmental issues.

Taking note on the agenda of G7 summit, here are some of the outlines published by Ministry of Foreign Affairs Japan.

Global economy

The first kick-off of the G7 summit Japan prioritizes about the global economy, which is the center stage of the Group of Seven discussion. According to the Strait Times, the formal discussion will revolve around current economic malaise in Japan and Germany

Foreign policy on terrorism

G7 Japan priorities will also include foreign policy that involves extremism. The issue has been going on lately; that have led thousands of refugees seeking shelters. The Middle East conflict will be the one highlighted especially Syria civil war.

Human rights

Human rights must be embraced especially in communist countries, Business Times reported. G7 summit two-day formal meeting will also address the essential value of democracy and freedom.

North Korea nuclear weapons

Nuclear weapons developed in North Korea become one of the topic discussed in G7 Japan including issues around Japanese citizens abduction. Leaders will collaborate in finding solutions.

Climate change

G7 summit will also discuss global climate change and also energy issue such as oil price. Paris has previously agreed to cut greenhouse emission and these leaders will further discuss more ways to address the issues.

Russia action in Ukraine

Another outline of G7 summit Japan includes Russia's serious military escalation. The Guardian reported that so far Russians have supported separatists in east Ukraine with money, weapons, and army.

The G7 summit in Japan will also be the last G7 summit that President Barrack Obama attends. And Japan's prime minister, Shinzo Abe is planning to on fiscal stimulus in the country.
