Xiaomi Drone Price, Specs: High-End; Cheap Quadcopter 'Mi Drone' Flying Soon! [VIDEO]

Xiaomi Drone price and specs are quickly being speculated right after the smartphone maker announced its plan to release quadcopter drone dubbed as "Mi Drone" Xiaomi.

Xiaomi's very first quadcopter drone will be competing head to head with market drones like Phantom 4K. According to Tech Crunch, Xiaomi new product will have a polished design in a very competitive price. A teaser released earlier also shows attractive image of Xiaomi Drone.

The quadcopter drone is expected to have high resolution 4K video recording at 30 fps as it uses FIMI technology. It is rumored to feature gesture-based control and an app to control the drone device. The teaser was first uploaded at Youku, a Chinese video streaming website. On the teaser, Xiaomi Drone is in sleek white color with four rotors and spherical camera underneath.

"Mi Drone" Xiaomi price

The quadcopter drone is expected to have a much cheaper price compared to its rivals in the market. The Bloomberg describes "Mi Drone" price as a challenge given that the "Phantom" made by DJI has similar features but quite expensive at $799. Xiaomi Drone is expected to have a much cheaper price tag. It could be priced at 4,000 yuan or around $610.

After Xiaomi succeeds to climb on top of the smartphone market, the Chinese company has been unveiling various high-end devices in affordable price. From Android smartphone to smart rice cooker, and the latest one is the unmanned flying device. Xiaomi's spokesperson explains that making great quality products have to be balanced with the pricings. As for the quadcopter drone, "Mi Drone" price is expected to be profitable for the company albeit 'very thin margin'.
