Texas Bowl 2015 Live Radio Broadcast, Preview: LSU vs Texas Tech

By

Many believed the 2015 Advocare V100 Texas Bowl could be Les Miles' last game leading the LSU Tigers (20), but the school decided against terminating his contact.

Miles capped the Tigers' season with an emotional win over Texas A&M following three straight losses that ended their SEC Title and National Championship runs. Now Miles will look to cap a disappointing season with a bowl game win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Despite having one of the most explosive offenses in the nation, Texas Tech finished in the middle of the pack in the Big 12, with all five of its losses coming against conference foes. The Red Raiders will also be trying to get their first win against a nationally ranked opponent this season.

LSU's tough defense and their a heavy dose of running back Leonard Fournette as an offensive game plan is the ideal counter to Texas Tech's offense, but the Tigers would likely struggle to keep up if they fall behind. In that case, LSU would need quarterback Brandon Harris to step up.

"The key is to being balanced certainly," Miles said in a pregame press conference. "We've spent additional time working on the passing game (in bowl practice). It seems to have paid dividends to have a couple extra practices going into game week, and we're kind of looking forward to seeing how it looks Tuesday night."
