The College Football Playoff's (CFP) Top Four was relatively calm in week 10 while the rest of the board shuffled for position.

Clemson (1) clinched the ACC Atlantic with a win over Florida State (16) and will go into the conference title game undefeated if they can beat Syracuse, Wake Forest, and South Carolina (each has three wins). The ACC Coastal division is far less certain.

North Carolina's (23) win over Duke did not advance their position, but the Tar Heels beat another divisional contender. In fact, the Tar Heels are 8-0 since losing their week one game against South Carolina.

SEC

The big story here was Alabama's (2) showdown with LSU (9), which ended with the Tide taking a slight edge in the West division. Alabama controls its own destiny and would clinch the SEC West with at least two wins in its last three games.

But then there is the SEC East to worry about, Florida (11) specifically. While the Gators' 9-7 win over Vanderbilt dropped them a spot on the Top 25, they guaranteed themselves a chance to play for the SEC Championship. Winning out (they play Florida State on Nov. 28) could also give them a nice boost in the ranking.

Big 12

The Big 12 got a major shakeup with Oklahoma State's (8) upset over TCU (15) and now the Cowboys are gaining ground on a stagnant Baylor (6) team. Oklahoma State and Baylor are now the conference's only remaining unbeaten teams and one of them may have to stay that way to make the CFP.

Pac-12

The Pac-12's hopes of making the CFP seemingly rests on Stanford (7) and Utah (10), both have one loss and are on track to face off in the conference championship. But Stanford figures to have the better shot since their only loss was in week one against Northwestern (18), a team that has competed in the Big Ten all season.

Big Ten

The Big Ten may well be a win-and-get-in scenario, as both division leaders, Ohio State (3) and Iowa (5), are undefeated. Ohio State will have to beat Michigan State (13) and Michigan (14) whereas Iowa does not have a currently ranked opponent.

Speaking of Michigan State, the CFP may be inclined to take the highly questionable call that led to the loss to Nebraska into consideration, especially if the Spartans overtake Ohio State and win the Big Ten title.
