Students who are just about to attend college for the first time cringe at the thought of the college housing where there seems to be no enough space for everybody's things and for getting work done. But these days are gone for some of these schools because they boast their college dorms which can make the students' living experience a comfortable and enjoyable one.
If the idea of living on campus inside cramped quarters feels like a nightmare, here's a list of options from the website Niche, to live in style and comfort while working towards earning a degree.
Bryn Mawr College (Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania)
A student shared with Business Insider how they liked the dorms. This is an all-girls school but the rooms are more spacious than average dorms in other schools. They have a walk-in closet, a fireplace and a window seat.
Eastern Mennonite University (Harrisonburg, Virginia)
This school has top-notch facilities, said one student and that they have all gold leaf dorm buildings. They also liked the heating and air conditioning, as well as the bathroom facilities. There are already installed drawers and closets which make everything organized and clean.
Harvard University (Cambridge, Massachusetts)
95 percent of college undergraduates preferred to live on campus and that is basically because of the school's rich history and marvelous architecture that makes their housing so attractive and incomparable to any other universities in the United States.
Washington University in St. Louis (St. Louis, Missouri)
A student said that the modern dorms look like castles with nice carpeting and with lots of space. While they can be expensive, they are also more luxurious compared to other universities.
Bowdoin College (Brunswick, Maine)
In Bowdoin, freshman students have nicer rooms than upperclassmen. Their rooms are equipped with laundry and bike storages in the basements, and nearly all students prefer to live on campus because of the comfort the school dorms offer.
