James Corden, the host of the "Late Late Show," is currently dominating late night television. He is known for his viral sketches and "Carpool Karaoke" segments. Now, the television celebrity is going to take on another hosting job during this year's Grammys.
But how did James Corden achieve a successful career and increase his popularity with "Carpool Karaoke"? The host shares that music has always been part of his life.
His father was a musician and he recalls always being surrounded by music and feels that he is not on his own, as reported by The Washington Times. As James Corden is going to host the Grammys, he reveals that he is going to feature a different approach compared to his gig at The Tony Awards. His main focus is to try to bring joy to the show - which for him is a host's job.
When asked about his sketches on the "Late Late Show," James Corden shares that "Carpool Karaoke" comes from a Red Nose Day sketch he did with George Michael in 2011 and people would remember them singing in the car. He brought that image to Los Angeles where traffic is everywhere. He combines something people in LA experience and a lot of viewers love - music. The biggest trick was to get someone to do it. Luckily, Mariah Carey said yes. And the rest is history.
Where does he see himself in five years? Although his career is soaring right now and is soon going to host the Grammys, James Corden only wants to see himself happy and the people he cares about are happy and healthy in the future. It looks like his secret is to success is just to make people happy. He tells Neon Tommy that doing his job itself is the reward. He shares that if one person knows what he wants to do in life, he is lucky. And that if that person gets to do it and support his family then he is infinitely lucky.
