Louise Minchin, a known TV journalist and news presenter in Chester was recently at the University of Chester, on Jan. 24, to host a free lecture. This TV personality talks about her career in television and what it is like to be a triathlete.

At Warrington campus on 6:30 p.m, Professor Annette McIntosh-Scott welcomes the Chester celebrity. Minchin then presents the audience a peek behind her life in triathlons and how it is like to be her. She shares her stories from her triathlon experience after she took part in the Olympic-inspired triathlon contest back in 2012.

McIntosh-Scott is delighted to feature Minchin in the university, as reported by The Chester Chronicle. She also adds that she hopes her words will inspire the television makers in the future at Warrington Campus. There were locals, school staff and university students during the event. The successful program enabled everybody to see a first hand insight into the career of a famous TV personality.

During her youth, she was educated at St. Mary's School in Ascot. She received a degree in Spanish from the University of St. Andrews. Afterwards, she studied journalism at the London College of Communication.

Dr. Louise Minchin is also an honorary Doctor of Letters from the University of Chester. She is known for hosting "Breakfast on BBC One" and she is also a guest presenter on "You and Yours," as reported by University of Chester. Off the news stream, she also hosts her own day time television series titled "Missing Live" which is known for reuniting families. In the entertainment sphere, she is a runner-up in "Celebrity MasterChef." In her spare time, she is also a long time supporter of BBC's "Children in Need." She is called the Countess of Chester Hospital.

With her presence in the campus, she carries with her a tenured belt of 20 years in the media industry.
