The opening of WWE Roadblock saw a major title change right away as Sheamus and Cesaro defeated The New Day for the WWE Raw Tag Team Titles. Sheamus and Cesaro wrestled each other in a best of 7 series that ended in a draw. Mick Foley then decided that Sheamus and Cesaro would team up for a shot at the WWE Raw Tag Team Titles.
The ending of the tag team title match at WWE Roadblock, according to Wrestling Inc, saw Sheamus nail Kofi Kingston with a brogue kick for the pinfall victory. It was an amazing back and forth contest that saw many near falls for both sides. Sheamus and Cesaro recently settled their differences and it worked to perfection as they are now the new WWE Raw tag team champions.
In a highly anticipated bout at WWE Roadblock, Braun Strowman took on Sami Zayn in a match where Sami Zayn would win if he lasted ten minutes. Zayn ended up doing the unthinkable and nailing Strowman with the Helluva Kick as time expired.
The tag team title was not the only titles that changed hands at WWE Roadblock as the Raw Women's Title also changed hands in the 6th encounter of Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair according to WWE.com. They locked horns in a 30-minute Iron Woman match with the score being tied at 2-2 when time expired. It resulted in sudden death where Charlotte made Sasha submit in a Figure Eight submission hold.
The main event of the evening saw Kevin Owens retain his WWE Universal Title against Roman Reigns when Chris Jericho interfered causing Kevin Owens to win by disqualification as Jericho nailed him with a codebreaker. After the match, Jericho gave the Universal title to Owens, revealing they have been working together all along. Rollins also ran in as he and Reigns destroyed Jericho and Owens.
