‘Pokémon Go’ Gen 2 Complete, Special Evolution Items, Berries; [TIP] How To Evolve Eevee To Espeon and Umbreon

By

With "Pokémon Go" Gen 2 Rollout, complete, loyal players are now setting their sights on finding new Pokémon in the wild. Along with the current update, fans are now looking for Special Items that are needed to evolve certain monsters.

"Pokémon Go" requires Evolution Stones to unlock some of the new Gen 2 Pokémon. Players can still evolve their Pokémon by feeding them candy in "Pokemon Go." However, a new layer in Gen 2 introduces special items such as the King's Rock that evolves Poliwhirl into Pilitoed and Slowpoke into Slowking.

Evolving Seadra into Kingdra will require a Dragon Scale. Sun Stone is needed to evolve Gloom into Bellossom and Sunkern into Sunflora. Up Grade evolves Porygon into Porygon 2 and evolving Onix into Steelix and Scyther into Scizor, requires Metal Coat, Wired reported.

The special items can be used only once and cannot be purchased from the "Pokémon Go's store. The good news is that these items are all random drops from Pokéstops. The bad news, they are rare drops.

There are also two new berries in "Pokemon Go" that players can use to throw at the monsters they are trying to catch. The nanab and the pinap berries are the two berries now featured in the game, according to c|net.

Nanab berries once consumed by the monster slows their movements, the pinap berry, on the other hand, will double the number of candy players get upon capture. Nanab berries are best used for Pokémon who are dodgers and those fond of running away. Slowing their movement increases the player's chance of a successful capture.

There are now two new evolved forms of Eevee in "Pokémon Go." Evee can now be evolved into a psychic type Espeon or a dark type Umbreon. Fortunately, for players, picking which type they want is easier than expected. It is as easy as renaming Eevee before feeding it with 25 candies.

In "Pokémon Go" Gen 2, renaming Eevee to Sakura prior to candy feeding makes it evolve into Epseon. Renaming it to Tamao makes it evolve into Umbreon. The process is the same, as with Gen 1, however, renaming Eevee into Sparky will cause it to evolve into Jolteon. Rainer makes it evolve into Vaporeon and Pyro makes it into Flareon.
