Google announced 45 new banks have added support to Android Pay mobile payments service. Most of the banks who partnered with Google this year are US-based. However, banks from another part of the globe provide its support to Android Pay like Denmark State Bank and Scottrade Bank both originated in Europe.

According to GSM Arena, Android Pay was officially released in Google I/O 2015. Android Pay provides payment service using the in-app and tap-to-pay purchases on mobile devices. Android Pay is powered and secured by near field communication (NFC) in transmitting card information from the payee to the retailer. It is an alternative to credit and debit cards or PIN and magnetic stripe transactions at POS terminals which allow the user to upload information in the Android Pay wallet. Android Pay transaction uses two-factor authentication to protect online theft and robbery backlash.
