Apple's MacBooks has not ever had a full number pad. But, Nums, which is a giant glass panel, might be able to help the issue. Meanwhile, Apple might bring the touchscreen technology to MacBook.

Nums is a giant glass panel that attaches to the top of the multi-touch trackpad of Apple MacBook. This accessory will add an overlay and a few quick launch gestures for the traditional numpad. The creator of Nums will also launch a driver for Apple computers that allows its users to switch the device's trackpad to a number-entry mode. The driver can open the calculator app and it will serve as a quick launcher for other apps, The Verge reported.

The American public-benefit corporation Kickstarter, is offering the Nums panels for $32 and $45. However, the Nums creator is hoping to ship the accessory in July.

Meanwhile, as Apple executives made it known in an interview that they have actually had a design for touchscreen computers, the tech giant might launch a touchscreen Macbooks in the future. The American designer known for his role in creating the iPod, Tony Fadell, stated that the Cupertino based tech giant had several different prototypes to make the original iPhone's final design. Those designs included a multi-touch MacBook Pro as well as a touchscreen MacBook Pro, Mac Rumors reported.

Fadell stated that the touchscreen MacBook project was to get touchscreen technology into Mac devices trying to keep up with Microsoft's tablets. On the contrary, Apple SVP of Software Engineering, Craig Federighi, already made a statement that a full-on touchscreen Mac is unlikely to happen.

The company has really focused on building the best track pads, where a person's posture will be relaxed, and as a result, the machine will be comfortable to use. In spite of that, several Mac loyalists have said they are frustrated with the tech company's lack of progress
