AMD’s Radeon GPUs: Difficult To Find In Retail Or Online; AMD Radeon RX Vega Faster Than NVIDIA’s Titan XP [VIDEO]

By

AMD's RX 500-series Radeon GPUs are hard to find at retail or online for the reason that people are seeking these graphics cards out to mine certain bitcoin-like cryptocurrencies. Meanwhile, a new leaked benchmark shows that AMD's Radeon RX Vega GPU is faster compared to NVIDIA's Titan XP GPU.

The Advanced Micro Devices semiconductor company explained that its RX 500-series Radeon GPUs are difficult to find at retail or online because people are seeking these graphics cards out to mine certain bitcoin-like cryptocurrencies. Wherein, the tech giant rolled out its latest round of Polaris-powered graphics cards which can provide graphic intensive scenes but drawing less amounts of power. That combination of energy efficiency and number-crunching capabilities has attracted tech fans who want to mine altcoin cryptocurrencies, CNBC reported

An AMD spokesperson stated that the gaming world remains their priority. The semiconductor company has a strong demand for its Polaris-based offerings in the resurgent cryptocurrency mining markets as well as in the gaming, based on the strong performance they are delivering.

On the other hand, it appears that game enthusiasts will have to wait for a bit longer for AMD's Radeon RX Vega. The next-gen GPUs will likely make an appearance after two more months.

The most recent statement of AMD is that the company will launch the Radeon RX Vega at the Special Interest Group on Computer GRAPHics and Interactive Techniques 2017 event. The SIGGRAPH 2017 event transpires on July 30 until Aug. 3. In spite of that, the benchmark leak of AMD's RX Vega GPU showed that the RX Vega is 21 percent faster compared to NVIDIA's Titan XP GPU, DSO Gaming reported.

Furthermore, the AMD RX Vega graphics card yields an average frame rate of 142fps. Also, AMD CEO Lisa Su stated that the AMD RX Vega will become available during its launch date.
