Super-Fast iMac with Intel Xeon Processor, Modular Mac Pro Mini Edition Could Be Release this 2017 [VIDEO]

Apple is upgrading two of their obsolete products: iMac desktop and Mac Pro. High-performing specs such as Intel Xeon processor is reportedly coming to iMac while a modular concept will also hit Mac Pro as well as a Mini edition - all of which are expected in 2017.

Apple Prepares for Super-Fast iMac Desktop 2017

Apple released the current iMac more than two years ago, thus, the product is due for update. For this reason, Apple VPs talked about their plans to upgrade the iMac desktop this year alongside few details about the specs as presumed by Pike's Universum.

The high-end iMac is said to come in two models: 21.5-inch that uses an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor and the 27-icnh that is likely to equip with Intel E3-1285 v6 processor which refers to Xeon or higher than. But if Apple decides to use Xeon processor, it could be that the next iMac will be more of a professional workstation, MacWorld reported.

Furthermore, the high-end iMac with Xeon processor is expected to have 16GB of RAM which supports Error Correction Code RAM for finding and fixing memory errors. The low-end one is expected to come with a standard RAM. Both iMacs are expected to come with 16GB of RAM, upgradable to 32GB or 64GB.

Other specs that are presumed to land in iMac this 2017 are standard fusion drives with 1TB capacity, easier to access ports, Thunderbolt 3, USB-C and USB 3.0. External GPU support is highly anticipated to cater the needs of apps that demand higher graphics.

Mac Pro Mini Edition 2017

While Apple refuses to comment on few details about the next Mac Pro, designer from Germany who name themselves as CURVED/labs has come up with a concept. The designers envision Mac Pro as a Mac Mini with a Touch Bar at the front, sports a modular design and a pro display, The Verge reported.

Moreover, the designers added headphone jack to Mac Pro. Under the hood specs include two graphics cards, solid state drives and hard disks. A 27-inch Retina display that is connected at the back through USB accessory is also included in the concept.
