By

Hoops fans have something to look forward to as NBA Playgrounds is set to arrive with new features, classic players, new modes and courts. As the trailer reveals, the new NBA game is likely to be a combination of NBA Jam and NBA Street. Watch out for the release of the game to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

What to Expect from 'NBA Playgrounds'?

Aside from sitting in-between NBA Street and NBA Jam, NBA Playgrounds is expected to come with new models which are inspired from the EA Big's book. The game is also expected to feature new teams and rosters with impressive list of legends, Forbes reported.

The trailer reveals the following classic players: Billy Cunningham, James Worthy, Spudd Webb, Dominique Wilkins, Allen Iverson, Patrick Ewing and Shaquille O'Neal. While fans hope for the create-a-player option, the trailer does not suggest a thing about it.

NBA Playgrounds also features NBA Jam's 2-on-2 action where solo, local, multiplayer and online play are available. The trailer also suggest eight different court locations such as China, Rucker, Rooftops, Amusement Park, Beats Car Show, Paris and Beach Court.

However, there are no specific details that mention about the game modes, gameplay as well as other legendary and classic players. But crazy over the top moves and dunks that will lift the spirit of fans and opponents are highly expected, ShackNews reported.

NBA Playgrounds on Major Consoles

The clamor about the imminent release of NBA Playgrounds has started most especially when the popular hoops game is reportedly coming to major consoles. The game, which costs $20 will officially be available to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 as well as PCs this coming May.

NBA Playgrounds is created by Saber Interactive. According to the company's CEO Matt Karch, their goal is to make the game convenient to the players and easy to play with but still has the depth for hardcore hoops fans who are the captain of their game.
