16 startups built by college and graduate students have been chosen by Inc. for its Coolest College Startup competition. The companies will be facing off for three rounds and a championship round before the winner will be announced on Apr. 4.

There are a lot of easy startup ideas that students can do to earn extra income while pursuing their higher education. They can provide tutoring, cleaning, transportation or delivery services, which do not require a huge amount of capital.

These college startups should inspire other students to achieve their dreams even while at school. Check out the startups that are part of Inc.'s Coolest College Startups this year.

Asiya

Asiya is an activewear brand that aims to promote inclusion and diversity by leveling the playing field for Muslim women. It is founded by Fatimah Hussein and Jamie Glover from the University of Minnesota. They officially launched their online store last Feb. 1, 2017.

Bacon Boxes

Bacon Boxes got its inspiration when co-founder Logan Rae created "bacon roses" for her fiancé. She joined forces with fellow South Florida college student Kimberly Hruda and they launched their business in 2015.

Boost Linguistics

This startup develops artificial intelligence that provides support to marketing teams through assisting them in producing content to increase customer engagement. The company is composed of Drexel University students: Ethan Bresnahan, Alexandra Dodson, Warren Kushner, Shania Smith, Brendan Sobottka and Vishala Apoorva Addepalli.

Drone MVP

Drone MVP provides filming services for people who need drone services. The founders are from the University of Southern California. They have been able to create a network of drone pilots, cinematographers, editors and innovators.

Fair Harbor

The founders of Fair Harbor want to help eliminate ocean pollution by making swimwear out of recycled bottles. This way, less plastic would end up in the oceans. Each swimtrunk would use up 11 recycled bottles. The founders studied at Colgate University.
