Microsoft Dynamics is getting another big update this week. The software giant has just announced Power BI solution template for the company's suite of ERP and CRM software applications, Microsoft Dynamics 365. Microsoft made the huge announcement this week.

For a starter, Microsoft's Power BI is a business analytics service that provides interactive visualizations with self-service business intelligence capabilities. The software allows end users to easily create reports and dashboards, without having to rely on or ask for help on any database administrator. Additionally, Microsoft's Power BI also offers cloud-based services, which called as Power BI Services, and more recently, Power BI Embedded for Microsoft Azure Cloud platform. The business analytics also offers data warehouse capabilities including data preparation, data discovery and interactive dashboards.

The Redmond-based software company has just released the Power BI solution template for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for PSA (Project Service Automation), MS Dynamics World reported. The newly released Power BI template will include sets of pre-built reports for a professional service organization's account manager, resource manager, and practice manager. It also includes some analytical content for working on financial KPIs like cost and margin.

Like the recently launched Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales Management template, the Dynamics 365's PSA template will use the Dynamics 365 Data Export Service to replicate data from the Dynamics 365 instance to an Azure-powered SQL Database store.

According to Microsoft, the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Data Export Service is a free add-on and the template can be provisioned by a Dynamics 365 administrator. Once updated, all changes that have been made in the company's Dynamics 365 records will be automatically included in the Azure SQL database and finally, made available to the company's Power BI reports, Microsoft added.

In other Power BI news, Microsoft has also announced a new Power BI template, Advanced Search for Bing News that allows brand managers to scour the web for relevant news. Based on the gathered data and relevant information, the Power BI template can generate visualizations that can help marketers keep up with the current events.
